Our 4 "Planet" Ambitions

As a leading force in Europe’s tyre fitting and vehicle maintenance market, we’re driving a bold environmental vision: to lead the transition towards more sustainable mobility, leading by example. Our vision is clear: to actively reduce our own carbon emissions to net zero by 2050, while supporting our customers in achieving their environmental goals through innovative, low-carbon maintenance solutions.

Sustainability is embedded in every part of our approach — from optimizing vehicle performance to responsibly recycling all the tyres and spare parts we handle. Together, we're driving forward a cleaner, more responsible future for mobility. We’re not just keeping vehicles moving, we're putting our energy into acting responsibly and contributing to address environmental challenges.

We have defined four environmental ambitions for the entire Euromaster network that we defined back in 2022 and will become reality by 2030.

1. Be the network with the lowest environmental impact

We are taking concrete actions to reduce the environmental impact of our business operations. What we have done so far: From 2022 to 2024, we reduced the carbon footprint of our own business operations by 14%.

  • Energy reduction in our service centers: We have run a comprehensive energy audit and provided a comprehensive checklist and training to service centre managers to reduce energy consumption. Also, we have replaced old lighting fittings with new low consumption LEDs in 30% of our centres and have installed solar panels on X% of our centres. In 2024, we reduced our energy consumption by X% thanks to these actions.

  • Energy reduction in our fleet operations: We have equipped all our cars and vans with telematics software and have produced reports to monitor fuel consumption and carbon emissions for each driver. We have replaced X% of our company cars with hybrid / EV equivalents.

  • In selected countries where we operate, we transitioned to Green or Fossil free Energy contracts.

What we plan to do next: We target carbon footprint reduction of the entire Euromaster network by 20% in 2025 and 50% in 2030.

  • Energy reduction in our service centers: Expand transition to LED and solar panels. Raise awareness and responsibility level among service centre colleagues to

  • Energy reduction in our fleet operations: Leverage telematics software to optimize routing and driving practices of our mobile units, to provide safety to our drivers and be more fuel efficient. Finalise the replacement of company cars to EV and introduce EV mobile vans.

  • Raising our employees awareness: We run immersive exercises such as “Climate Fresque” to raise awareness of our colleagues to the imperative of climate change.

In our countries of operations, we organise and sponsor events where our colleagues can volunteer and undertake climate change actions in their social communities.

2. Be the network that contributes to reduction of customer's C02 emissions

We are taking concrete actions to support our customers in their carbon footprint reduction efforts, such as:

  • Raising awareness among customers about the lower fuel consumption gained through tyre services, such as: tyre pressure adjustment (inflation), wheel alignment, tyre balancing, tyre permutation (rotation), tyre regrooving or tyre retread. We share with our fleet customers the savings of CO² emissions they gain thanks to our services.

  • Deploying on-board telematics solutions for our professional customers, enabling them to enhance people’s safety, reduce environmental impact and maximize their economic and operational performances.

  • Making appropriate tyre choice recommendations: We promote more efficient and safer tyres using tyre labelling (fuel economy, grip and noise ratings). For example, tyres with a "A" label for fuel efficiency have the lowest rolling resistance, which means they require less energy to move. This translates to better fuel economy and reduced CO² emissions.

3. Be best in class in end of life products collection & recycling

We are taking concrete actions to ensure a more sustainable end of life management of tyres, such as:

  • Tyre collection & recycling: 100% of our used tyres, oils and used spare parts are collected and recycled by government approved organisations. In most countries, the recycling of used tyres is compulsory. Tyres suitable for retreading are delivered to retreading companies. Scrap tyres are delivered to EPA-approved recycling plants for granulation or pyrolysis treatment.

  • Retread factory: We own retreading facilities of our own in Sweden and Finland, producing thousands of retread tyres each year and we work with partners in other countries.

  • Developing a sustainable procurement & supply chain policy
    - We evaluate our suppliers based on their CSR commitments and practices. We rely on recognized norms and certifications and suppliers' contribution to our People and Environment pillars. We monitor suppliers action plans to ensure their compliance to laws and regulations in the areas of human rights, environment, safety and business ethics.
    - We are redesigning our supply chain - from manufacturer - to warehouses - to service centers, to reduce our carbon footprint through a more thoughtful use of logistics and warehousing facilities.
    - We are redefining our inventory policy to minimise the transport needed for delivering tyres for ecommerce customers.

4. Take proactive action to reduce the effects of climate change through contributions to reforestation
